Hello all, it's been awhile. Nothing personal by any means, I mostly just get busy and kind of forget. Or nothing exciting happens, which is more the norm than anything else. I would first like to congratulate
Cloud 9B on his return, for while it may have been awhile for me, it's been an eternity for he. (Nice lil rhyme there!) Also congrats to
aSoT for getting moved into his new place and actually living a post-graduate life, someday I hope to do the same.
My life has been pretty uneventful of late. I do a lot of working at the restaurant, and when not doing so I like to send out resumes to places that don't want to hire me. A good ol fashioned exercise in futility. I've been offered a couple jobs, but haven't excepted any of them. One would have been nice except for the fact that I make more as a server than I would have made there. Servers make pretty decent money, I won't argue that, but its not what I went to college for, its not really what I want to do for the rest of my life. The other jobs were mostly something that I either couldn't do for monetary reasons, or would have paid me very well for doing something that I would not have enjoyed in the least. It kind of seems like I'm being picky, but I really don't want to work a job that I despise, especially when I'd be working over 60 hours a week.
I'm getting fairly excited about getting out of town in another week, "me" and I are heading up to Minnesota to spend some time with the family out on the water, and then catch a Cubs game on Sunday as they visit the Twins. A week after that, we're heading to Wisconsin for shows 1 and 2 of the 5 DMB concerts we're catching this year. Alpine Valley is always a wonderful place to see them and I'm sure this year will be no different. Speaking of concerts, feel free to check out
DMB Radio, its a pretty nifty lil place that lets shoutcasts all kinds of shows, not just official releases, definitely worth a listen.
Well, with that I should probably return to searching for jobs that won't hire me. Wish me luck and in turn, I'll try not to be such a stranger moving forward.
Take Care
